This is how a Newspaper Photograph looks like!!!
Well, this looks more like a newspaper photograph to me. I’m not sure but I don’t really think it’s a composition that was there in the mind before clicking it. Had it not been for the really lines, the photograph could have gotten away with a slanting horizon, but the railway line clearly proves that the region is not as hilly as the horizon looks. I would have definitely liked to see more shadow details in this photo graph. Probably a camera with a bigger dynamic range could have made things better. I think some fill flash would have also made the photograph better. The symmetry of the photograph also does not look good to me. The right side is clearly heavier with some of the weight spilling over through the middle into the left side.
The two men and the bushes on the left side of the picture could have been more detailed (at least as clear as the water bottle and the handkerchief) and that at least could have created a good balance of colors and weight.
