Pictures explain more than words!!!
That’s 9/11 once again! Cannot really criticize the photograph much. It’s really an amazing piece of work – the absent gaze on the eyes of a firefighter has been excellently portrayed and that says a million words. The not so detailed ambulance and the line of fire fighters behind clearly tell you the story of lost hope. The rubble, the bright yellow bands on the uniform of the firefighters, the open helmet and open glove clearly tell you the story of tragedy and despair. As much as it reminds me of the “bad old days”, it leaves a deep impression on my heart and makes me apprehensive about the future that I have not seen yet.
A very small but excellent piece of detailing on the picture is the black frame that it is encased into. There are no unessential elements in this picture and the black frame does a good job of containing the “sorrow” that the photographer wanted to portray through it.
