A Picture-Perfect!!
That is what I call picture-perfect! An amazing piece of composition, great detailing and excellent selection of reference frames. The elephant in the picture is not a baby – it’s a huge one but the photographer has carefully captured and edited the dust cloud to make it look like a part of the picture and not something odd. The picture is full of life, strength and stamina but still manages to tell us that it doesn’t really matter how big you are – you end up being smaller to something or the other under the sun!
The minimum amount of sky that is visible shows that the picture has been taken on a bright day and the photographer has cleverly cropped off most of the sky to add more depth to the picture. The thin black line lacing the horizon and the shadow of the elephant not protruding too deep into the interiors has created an amazing effect and I’m sure this picture is going to remain in my mind for a long time to come.
